What initially made you interested to pursue a career in pharmacy?
Pharmacy is the last line of defense in terms of accuracy and safety of patient care. We complete the last double-check and triple-check before the patient receives their medications. Additionally, the profession is evolving into primary care for many communities and I want to be a part of this exciting team to promote good health and patient safety.
What is an interesting fact or story about you that many people don’t know?
I used to be a chef for many years before my transition into pharmacy school. I grew up in a single parent household and because my mother was always working, I often had to cook for myself and found that I really enjoy it.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
In 5 years, I see myself married with children and working on my own business that competes with big pharmacy chains.
Do you have any hobbies? What are your interest and/or how do you usually like to spend your free time?
I do not have a lot of free time, but I love watching Friends when I have the chance. When I have more extra time I like to play tennis and go hiking.
